* Ozone is effective - but not by itself. You need ozone, but you need more Ozone is effective - but not by itself. You need ozone, but you need more. Ozone by itself has only limited benefit for purifying the air. Ozone can be extremely effective against odors and works effectively against many chemicals and micro-organisms. However, ozone has no or little effect against airborne allergens and other particles in the air. This is why the New-Aire XJ-3000C air purifier uses an air ionizer (two negative ion generators), HEPA air filtration, activated carbon air filtration, all in addition to ozone air purification. Each of these air purification methods removes specific pollutants from the air that the others don't remove. In combination they allow the XJ-3000C to effectively remove virtually all pollutants from the air. Truly effective air purification can only be accomplished with a suite of complementary technologies. Air Purification Technologies used by the XJ-3000C Air Purifier:
Ozone is important, but it does not ionize the air. Your air purification system needs a separate, built-in air ionizer Don't be fooled. Many suppliers claim that their ozone air purifiers are "air ionizers," even when their products do not include a separate ionizing device. In fact, their ozone air purifiers by themselves only produce very minimal amounts of negative ions only as a byproduct of the ozone production. In addition to a built-in vacuum tube ozone generating system, the XJ-3000C air purifier also includes ion-producing needlepoints producing trillions of negative ions every second. There are situations when it's better to have a no ozone, and times when it's necessary to have a significant amount -- for example when strong odors are present. Any ozone producing air purifier should give you complete control over the ozone output. When there are no odor problems, or if there are sensitive individuals in the area where the air purifier is operating, it's is generally preferable for the ozone to be either completely disabled, or produced in only trace amounts that won't be noticed. The XJ-3000C Air Purifier gives you the range of control you need to tailor the right ozone output for each situation. The XJ-3000C allows you to turn the ozone completely off without also disabling its other air purification functions. If a strong odor presents itself, the ozone output can be adjusted to the High setting, so that it runs continuously (at a fairly strong concentration), allowing it to effectively remove the odor. Low and Medium settings are available when you want only moderate ozone in the air (for moderate odors perhaps). Even if you never use the high setting, you'll want to use a lower setting occasionally in order to sanitize the HEPA/activated carbon filters. Many ozone air purifiers cost $500 or more. The XJ-3000C Air Purifier offers similar ozone-producing technology, but with the addition of other air purification technologies that are each more effective than ozone at removing many common airborne pollutants. The XJ-3000C starts at $179 per unit (less in quantity). When you want to run an ozone air purifier at a high level for a short period of time, in order to remove a strong odor you'll either have to remember to turn it off -- or use a purifier with a timer. With the XJ-3000C Air Purifier, when you need to treat a space with a strong level of ozone for 1, 2, or 4 hours while you're gone, simply use the built-in timer. The XJ-3000C will automatically turn off after the specified amount of time with no further intervention from you. Air flow is an important factor in ozone air purification, since this is how the ozone is distributed throughout the space. It also prevents the accumulation of ozone in certain areas, which can cause strong ozone smells. The XJ-3000C Air Purifier features a strong, quiet three-speed fan to properly distribute the ozone it produces. |
